Pete DeVriese is a Senior Trust Officer with a Bay Area-based community bank.  He makes decisions and whatnot.

He believes physical fitness enhances mental acuity, so he exercises frequently.  He punctuates his snail-like runs with booze breaks. Everything in moderation, right?  He recently took up boxing but the girls in class keep beating him up.

He loves baby animals and has a not-so-secret fantasy to someday run a farm with dwarf goats, mini horses and teacup pigs, complete with a miniaturized barn, so that he can pretend to be a giant farmer.  He might only grow baby corn.

In his spare time he writes irreverent pop songs and likes to design and build furniture.  He recently released a dance pop album under a pseudonym.

Omar is from the South which makes him very masculine, but living so many years abroad has made him cosmopolitan. He is very humble man and understands that there’s a time to give and be loving and understanding. Omar believes in standing up for what he believes and not being walked on.  He is always there for his friends and loved ones. He doesn’t run from adversity. He believes in being the best man he can be and wants people who come across him to think “hey what a good guy”. It’s not about attention for him but about the importance of one’s own honor and respect for those around him.

Omar was raised by a loving mother and father in small town Mississippi. He wants the same for his future children as his parents are still married. His father taught him how important it is to treat a woman right. His mother taught him how to have inner strength and not to get walked on. Omar is a Combat Veteran (Afghanistan) and it’s made him understand just how fickle society is. He is a TRUE music fan that believes music touches our soul. Omar has overcome some tough things in life and in doing so it’s made him a much stronger man.

Restaurant owner and fourth generation, native San Franciscan, John Mardikian, is not to be missed! Growing up with all the finest that San Francisco has to offer, John appreciates the good things in life. His rugged good looks hail from the killer combo of Norwegian Viking meets Armenian Stallion. With a BA in business management and formal culinary arts training, John is a gastronomical success! Currently John owns Telegraph, an anchor restaurant/ beer garden in the Oakland ArtMurmur/ First Friday scene. Nothing can hold back this young entrepreneur, and his passion for good food, as he plans to open a second restaurant in the year to come. But it’s not all business with this bachelor, John loves music, is an avid animal lover and sits on the board of Fairy Land in Oakland. On the weekends he enjoys heading up to a restored Barn House in Western Sonoma, or hunting the Alameda Flea Market for vintage finds. He has traveled extensively around the world but feels that no location can rival his native City by the Bay. John will amaze you with his culinary skills, disarm you with his twinkly eyes while his rye wit will have you smiling in no time.

Jason has lived in Australia and New Zealand, been on safaris in Africa, competed in 70 triathlons and counting, attempted to swim to work during bike to work week (key word “attempted”), surfed at midnight under a full moon, was sponsored by PowerBar for triathlon competitions, and accidentally forgot his wallet on a first date.

He studied biology at UC Santa Cruz; after graduation he worked with goats and some humans. Friends would say that he is optimistic, loyal, adventurous, funny and confident but not arrogant. He is often on his bike or in the pool. His eating skills are impressive.

Jason works as a licensed CPA and Realtor, helping investors find properties in the Sacramento area, which Jason loves to call home.

John is a well rounded guy who is as comfortable sleeping in a yurt as a 5 star hotel.   He hikes, surfs, runs marathons, travels to exotic locations and masterfully prepares dinner for friends.

John’s always up for an outdoor adventure or a night out in the city.
John’s professional career has been built on the border of art and technology. He had long career at Pixar where he served as Global Technology Supervisor. An engineer at heart, he enjoyed making beautiful images while pushing the state of the art in computer animation forward.  You’ll notice his name in the credits of 7 Oscar winning films, including Up, Finding Nemo, and Ratatouille.

A couple years ago he was recruited into Facebook, where he’s been helping the company build it’s mobile applications. He’s been at the forefront of making it easier for people to communicate and share experiences, making the world a more connected place.
